About Time

The film focuses on a young man named Tim (played by Domhnall Gleeson) who comes off as a sort of loser when we meet him. However, upon his father, played by Bill Nighy, revealing that the men in their family can time travel, things look like they could pick up. However, upon moving to London, things don't seem to be going well for him as he lives with his father's friend Harry (played by Tom Hollander) who is a brilliant writer but also a butt hole, and sadly his little sister Kit Kat (played by Lydia Wilson) isn't doing so well either. But, what Tim does have going for him is a job as a lawyer, but it is at a firm which doesn't respect him or partner Rory (played by Joshua McGuire), who is such a sweetheart, all that much. However, thanks to his old friend Jay (played by Will Merrick – known for generation 3 of Skins, to me anyway), he meets the love of his life: Mary (played by Rachel McAdams). Which leads to a rather sped up relationship which quickly establishes them as a couple as the movie moves on to the true focus: Tim's family; specifically Nighy as the eccentric dad, and little sis Kit Kat who is the equally eccentric daughter. For most of the movie, Mary is more so there to support Tim as he deals with the troubles of a sister who isn't really prepared for adulthood, and a father whose mortality is becoming more apparent thus leading to a movie which may not be romantic, but can be a tearjerker.

Andrew decides to take mom with him on road trip for his sales pitch talks. Andrew does not have a flair for talking and it is obvious during his presentations. The relationship between mom and son is handled well throughout the movie. Some sensitive scenes are handled well. Scenes involving the stripper who de-ices the car tire with her heel, Joyce in a TX restaurant eats a big steak for $100 and for fun, visiting Jessica ( Andrew\'s first love)and her husband and then finally visiting Joyce\'s first love Andrew Margolis home are some of the nice parts of the movie. The ending of the movie gives a hope for romance to Andrew in seeing Andrew Margolis \'s daughter and exchanging hellos. The movie is done well. Barbra Streisand is extremely comfortable in the role and very natural. Barbra Streisand and Seth Rogen make a believable mother son team. Too many awkward silences and quiet scenes.$

This also shows that Jack is actually one of the many clones taken from the actual Jack Harper, that helps repair drones and scout for alien presence.With a reality that is shattered as he discovers shocking truths that connect him to Earth of the past, Jack will be pushed to a heroism he didn\'t know he contained within. The fate of humanity now rests solely in the hands of a man who believed our world was soon to be lost forever.$

So when the attack on D.C. and the White House comes, Mike runs amid the chaos to the W.H. and by the time he gets there he is able to enter and find out the who, what, where of the people who have taken over the building. Since he has worked there and knows all the secret communications and passages, he is able to talk to the command center and those left in charge. He works his way toward the \'safe bunker\' where the villains have set up shop and listed their demands. The scenes where he has to fight and kill his way toward his objective are graphic and bloody, but make you gasp and at times exclaim. Like other thrillers - Taken, for example - one extremely well trained guy is able to do the impossible. I am an older woman and I enjoyed the film and seeing Butler in action. The whole cast is very good, especially the three women in roles of importance to the story.$
