Randy Quaid as the taxi driver drives Zen parables (Is time money - Is time the root of all evil?) into his passenger/protegee in a high-speed, idiosyncratic tour of their city's ethnic coteries. Ishii\'s films combineren de ademloosheid van commercials en actiefilms met de compromisloze sensibiliteit van de experimentele film. Het zijn fysieke ervaringen, mede door de soundtrack, die nogal wat eisen stelt aan de technische uitrusting van de bioscoopzalen. Harde gitaren, maar ook extreem versterkte omgevings en bewegingsgeluiden, zorgen samen met technisch perfect uitgevoerde, trillende zooms en bliksemsnelle close ups voor een overdonderende ervaring.$
